Jefferson County, Missouri, is proposing a roadway safety improvement project along Hunning Road from 1.1 miles east of Highway 30 to 1.7 miles west of Old Sugar Creek Road, approximately, 1,056 feet or 0.20 miles. The project will involve horizontal and vertical reconstruction of Hunning Road within the project limits. The existing lanes will be widened from 10’ to 12’ and a 4’ wide shoulder will be added on both sides of Hunning Road. Guardrail with crashworthy end terminals will be installed where necessary and dense foliage will be cleared to improve sight distance and stopping sight distance for the neighboring subdivisions and private drives within the corridor. The existing box culvert will be removed and replaced to accommodate the horizontal and vertical changes to Hunning Road.

Tentative schedules for right of way acquisition and construction can be discussed at the hearing.
