Gene has been appointed to serve the remaining 2-year term of the District 2 County Council seat.

Gene lives in Imperial with his wife, Gail. They have been married for 51 years, have raised 6 children, who are all graduates of the Fox C-6 district, with 5 of those children and their spouses still residing in Jefferson County.


Gene comes from a long family history, totaling over 100+ years of residency in Jefferson County. He is a graduate of Fox High School class of 1969. Gene is a veteran graduating from the United States Airforce Crash Fire and Rescue Academy with cross training of Pilot Rescue. He is a retired Union Teamster, with over 50 years in the construction industry.


Since Retirement Gene has served multiple county positions which include 13+ years on the P.W.S.D. C-1 Water District and is currently serving as Vice President. He is a former member of the Planning and Zoning Board and Zoning Adjustment Board. He is currently member of the Jefferson County Republican Club and Manager of Barbagallo Farms L.L.C.
