| Planning Division Applications |

| The Planning Division is responsible for managing numerous procedures and agendas. To that end, the Division utilizes a number of applications and permits. Applications are required for most actions taken before the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustment. Additionally, many permits and review requests must comply with submittal requirements outlined on Division check lists.

| Zone Change Requests
All zone change requests are heard before the Planning and Zoning Commission and the County Commission. Each request must be in the form of a completed application. While the application may be downloaded, all signatures must be original and we recommend that you discuss your application with a planner prior to submittal.
Proof of ownership must accompany the application. This proof may be in the form of a deed or a contract for sale.

| Development Plan Requests
All development plan request are heard before the Planning and Zoning Commission and the County Commission. Each request must be in the form of a completed application. While the applications my be downloaded, all signatures must be original.
A pre-application conference is required to discuss your application with a planner prior to submittal. Contact the Planning Division office at 636-797-5580 to schedule a conference.
Proof of ownership must accompany the application. This proof may be in the form of deed or a contract for sale.

| Conditional Use Permits
All conditional use permit requests are heard before the Planning and Zoning Commission and the County Commission. Each request must be in the form of a completed application. While the application may be downloaded, all signatures must be original and we recommend that you discuss your application with a planner prior to submittal.
Proof of ownership must accompany the application. This proof may be in the form of a deed or a contract for sale. A site plan prepared in accordance with the Jefferson County Zoning Order must also accompany the application.

| Zoning Order Variance Request
All zoning order variance requests are heard before the Board of Zoning Adjustment. Each request must be in the form of a completed application. While the application may be downloaded, all signatures must be original and we recommend that you discuss your application with a planner prior to submittal.
Proof of ownership must accompany this application. This proof may be in the form of a deed or a contract for sale. It is also recommended that a sketch clarifying the requested variance accompany the application.

| Preliminary Plat Review
All preliminary plat reviews are heard before the Planning and Zoning Commission. Each request must be accompanied by a completed checklist. While the checklist may be downloaded, it is recommended that the designer consult the Jefferson County Zoning Order and the Jefferson County Subdivision Regulations to ensure compliance with all standards. Additionally, it is recommended that the applicant discuss the proposal with a planner prior to submittal.
