Welcome to the Jefferson County Auditors Web site. The Auditor's Office performs numerous functions to ensure your tax dollars are being spent prudently and for the purposes in which they are intended. Jefferson County operates on a budget of more than 85 million dollars and conducts many thousands of transactions per year. The Auditor's Office employs a full-time staff of three employees, which are responsible for overseeing, tracking, and recording these transactions. Additionally, the auditor's office works with more than 40 offices and departments to ensure all actions are in compliance with the approved budget and that all revenue projections are progressing as anticipated. It's the mission of the Auditor's Office to ensure your hard-earned tax dollars are not wasted, but used to make Jefferson County one of the best places to live in Missouri.
